MidAIR Fall 2010 Conference
Call for Proposals

We are pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 30th annual MidAir Conference – “MidAIR 2010: Embracing the Promises and Challenges of the New Decade". This year’s conference is scheduled for November 10-12, 2010. The conference combines the function of institutional research with the changing issues of postsecondary education and promises to leave you with a greater awareness of the impact you make in your field.

This call encourages all IR professionals, higher education faculty, and graduate students, both experienced and novice, to submit proposals to present at this conference via this link. Take this opportunity to share your research and field work successes and strategies. All proposals are submitted electronically through the MidAIR website. The deadline for proposal submission has been extended to Monday, September 13, 2010. If you would like more information about the conference, please visit our Conference Information Page.

A few highlights from this year’s program include:

  • Deb Teeter, University Director of Institutional Research and Planning at the University of Kansas and one of MidAIR's founders, shares her expertise in the IR field.

  • Newcomers Workshop-returning for an encore by popular request, this workshop will teach you everything you ever needed to know about working in IR from two seasoned IR professionals (both 2-year and 4-year institutional perspectives will be covered).

  • A workshop on academic assessment will be presented by Doug Eder of Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
